Clean!
It may be a good idea to put a rug of some sort down because there will be people in and out of your house all the time. Once you’re ready to hang that for sale sign, invest in some disposable booties for people to use as they walk your home. This will save you so much time in cleaning after every showing.
Staging!
If you plan on still having all your stuff in the property at the time of listing, donât worry about this. Though, it may be a good idea to DEclutter. Take care of your yard!
This will depend a lot on what season you plan on listing your home during so weâll give you the gist of all 4! Rake up the leaves, pull the weeds, water/fertilize your grass, sweep off the patio, trim the trees, clean out the gutters, or get the snow shovel out and clear the walkway and driveway. You get it, clean it up and make it shine!Â
Touch Ups/Small Things
Fix loose handles, touch up the peeling paint, fill any holes in the walls, etc. Some of these things may not seem like a big deal but over time the small things will add up. Trust us, once these âsmall thingsâ are done, youâll notice an overall clean and well-maintained appearance that will stand out.
